OBJECTIVE

Create a title sequence and lower thirds for the pilot episode of Ranger Wars, an offbeat mockumentary-style show about park rangers.

OUTCOME

I pitched and produced a title sequence that gives viewers a glimpse of the fast-paced, hilarious, and mildly ridiculous nature of the show. I worked with Anna Vallario to design and animate both the title sequence and lower thirds for the pilot, and consulted with the show creators Xenia de Cazotte and Coco Mendez to flesh out their intentions for the title sequence as context to the characters, the team that created the show, the themes and the feeling of the show. The intention with a title sequence was to set the tone for the rest of the episode as quirky, witty, and quick, to give more backstory to the characters, to give the show the appearance of perceived credibility and production value, and to credit and recognize the crew that worked on this episode. To do this, we incorporated elements from the episode and from the people behind the show.

My work on the project included initial conceptualization, final design and asset collection/creation, and animation assistance.
